"PSOI down unda 2004" [2004-8-12]

PSOI are returning to the land of footy this september for 3 shows. Spiral had such a blast on his solo tour last november that he's bringing the rest of the band back for shows in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. We're working on a show for Adelaide too, but haven't confirmed. Trifekta records are also releasing a single to coincide with the tour. "The Furnace Sun" includes 4 b sides, one of which is unreleased. check out www.trifekta.com.au for more info.

"PSOI play Sasquatch"... [2004-5-3]

We're finally back from a good seven weeks of touring. Thanks to all who came on out to see us; we all had a blast. We met many new friends along the way and, hopefully, weÕll get back to all you soon. Speaking of soon... We are set to play the second annual Sasquatch Festival on Saturday, May 29th at the Gorge in Washington state. Come early, because we play early. "Caught in the Rain CD released in UK"... [2004-4-26]

A five song CD ep has just been released by Domino in the UK. The CD includes the songs "Caught in the Rain," "Fresh Fudge," "At Kose," "Mere Psued Mag Ed," "Walk of a Gurl" (demo). Go to Domino for info on how to purchase this CD.

No, it's not an April Fools joke, PSOI are touring Europe. Unfortunetly, the Spanish shows are not happening now, but we're trying to sort something out for the Summer. Check out the tours section for full schedule.

"PSOI coming to Europe"... [2004-3-9]

We're finally sorting out our European tour dates. Looks like we'll be hitting the road with our old friends the Shins for a week of shows and then doing a bunch on our own in Scandinavia and the UK. Check tours for more info.

"Monsoon out today"... [2004-2-17]

The new PSOI record "Monsoon" is released in North America and Europe today. If you live in Seattle, come on down to the Ballard Sonic Boom Records store to hear Spiral play all the hits solo. Show time is 8pm. ALSO... The videos for "Caught in the Rain" and "Line it Up" are now available online on the Matador, Domino, and Trifekta websites.

"PSOI play SXSW"... [2004-1-30]

We are playing the Matador Records showcase at this years South By Southwest music festival on March 18th. Other bands on the bill include Mission of Burma, Pretty Girls Make Graves, and Seachange. Also in Austin, on March 20th, We'll be playing a free in-store at Urban Outfitters as well as a performance at the Porchlight BBQ. Come on down to see the C'dog in his home town glory... Hi, we're finally back from Australia. Thanks to all who came to the shows and hopefully we'll be back real soon. We had an amazing time. Stay tuned for the tour diary. Spiral returns to the home of Coopers Sparking, not to mention the worlds greatest pub rock band (AC/DC). For those lucky few who live in South Australia, come on out on December 20th to the Jade Monkey, we'll try not to mention Jony Wilkinson too many times. Go Port!

Spiral solo tour down under... [2003-11-1]

Spiral embarks on a solo tour starting this November 20th in majestic Melbourne, Victoria. With the Rugby World Cup winding down and the cricket just getting starting, it's gonna be an exciting time had for all. Plus Fitzroy's finest Gersey are headlining the whole sordid affair.

New record "Monsoon" out Feb 17th 2004 [2003-10-1]

The new Preston School of Industry record, Monsoon, is completed with a worldwide release date set for February 17, 2004 (Matador/Domino/Trifekta).

Written and produced by Spiral Stairs with valuable assistance from Preston School alum Dan Carr, Chris Heinrich, and Mathew Zeek Harris (not to mention a few surprise special guests), all tracks were recorded and mixed this past summer in sunny Seattle, Washington.
